Before Using AltPaper

Before you use AltPaper, make sure that your computer meets the Version of Microsoft Word.

Precautions for Form Making

AltPaper assumes that input form papers are printed out only with a printer. Altpaper is not expecting you to input papers prepared by photocopy. If you are preparing multi sets of questionnaire, you have to input the number of sets to print out on the below interface.

• Make sure that checkboxes and text boxes are not layered when you make an input form with AltPaper.
• Print it out with plain white paper.
• If the double circles (◎) on the four corners of the forms and a recognition code are not printed nor scanned properly, the data may not be able to be recognized properly.

Precautions for Scanning

• Your scanner read one set of questionnaires　each in order. You have to put the papers for scanning in order into each copy.
• For instance, if the copy consists of 6 papers, you should order them like "123456" "123456"
• The input data will not be recognized if the form is scanned in a way that causes letters or numbers to appear warped or if the pages have darkened corners.
• If the double circles (◎) and the recognition code are stained or blurry, please input the data manually.

Precautions for Filling in

The most accurate way to fill in is to mark out lightly on the inside.

Precautions for entering characters in a box

Please make sure that each character is not layered when you enter characters.

It would be difficult to differentiate characters properly if they are layered.

The same problem would happen if the frame is stained.

Precautions for answering open-ended questions

AltPaper will enable comments and handwriteen answers in the input forms to be scanned with the following precautions.

• Please make sure that the section of open-ended questions are not layered with the double circles (◎) or the recognition code, checkboxes and the other sections.
• The handwritten comments and answers outside the double circles (◎) may not be recognized.
